“It’s too good to be true

I’ve heard it time and time again whether it’s about a free trip to the Bahamas or a one-time investment that could end up making you more money than your current job.

The truth is, opportunities flow into your life every single day, most of the time without you even realizing it. They patiently sit around and wait for you to stop lallygagging and finally face the random fear your mind has made up.

As humans, we are creatures of habit.

Did you know that around 90% of our thoughts are the same ones we had the day before?

Our brains are wired for repetition, this creates a built-in comfort zone that the mind uses for protection.

Unfortunately, while that comfort zone is ~comfortable~ it also acts as a jail cell and stops you from achieving your goals.

Anything outside of our new found ‘cell’, becomes scary. We start making decisions and create judgements from this fear based mindset. We become so afraid to fail or be wrong, that we block ourselves from ever succeeding and become trapped in our made up ‘cell’.

The truth is —

In order to bridge the gap from where you are right now, to where you want to be… you’re going to have to get out of your comfort zone.

AND

It all starts with your mindset.

Here’s the secret:

Start by changing your thought patterns. By breaking your current thought patterns, you can create space to build new ones.

Change your focus to what you’re grateful for. No matter how good, bad, or hellish the situation was, learn to have gratitude in one way or another.

You can’t be fearful and grateful simultaneously.

Ultimately, the result of any situation doesn’t matter. Whether you succeed or fail, the only one that really cares is your ego. What really matters is what you learned from the experience. Let go of your ego and the abundance will start to flow.

Whatever it is, I promise you… it’s not ‘too good to be true’.

If you can dream it, you can live it.

Stop standing in your own way.

Start embracing the unknown and using it as your guide.

Find ways to celebrate both failure and success as opportunities to grow — after all how can you expect to succeed if you’re too afraid of failing?

Invest your time, energy, and money into things that spark your interest and stop using ‘it’s too good to be true’ as an excuse to facing your fears.

Follow the flow that feels good, and all else will follow.
